I've dabbled in screenwriting over the last few years - and I really enjoy it. I watch films pretty sparingly nowadays. I used to keep up with all the key releases each year, but I've started to slow down.
I'm also way into reading about movies (along with games, TV, and music), I check the AV Club and the Dissolve every day, and I used to keep up with all of Ebert's reviews before his passing.
My favorite directors are the Coen Brothers, Tarantino, Kubrick, Spike Jonze, Chris Nolan, PT Anderson, Miyazaki, Wes Anderson, Cuaron, Duncan Jones, and Rian Johnson.
I was going to write a list of my favorite actors - but I feel like the majority of them are television actors. I feel that on some level, film is a directors medium, television is an actors, and literature is a writers.
